Spider-Man Spider Power 2 - 1998

This series actually had a few things to offer besides Spider-Man repaints and variants. First off, it had a J. Jonah Jameson figure, which fans had been wanting for awhile. It also had a much needed Dr. Octopus update that finally got the short chubby aspect right. Doc Ock and J. Jameson are easily the best figures and really helped to round out the series.

Dr. Octopus

This is a more classic look to Dr. Octopus and the only way to get a figure of him modeled after how he looked in the early comics. He looks exactly like he did as drawn by John Romita Sr. and is a great addition to the line. The sculpt on the figure is dead on to the character and he also has good articulation. This figure is unique in that his proportions allow for him to intergrate into the 6 inch scale of figures like Spider-Man Classics and Marvel Legends. Infact: This figure's sculpt is so great it would be reused again twice in following years. Oddly, the final release had black hair even though the prototype was pictured with the correct brown hair.

Flip and Swing Spider-Man

This is very similar to the Web Trap Spider-man but with different arms to allow him to swing around the light post he comes with. This figure is more to the 6 inch scale and was re-released years later in the Spider-Man Classic toyline.

Figure ability: Swinging action
Accessories: Crates x3, Lammpost

J. Jonah Jameson

Jameson finally got a figure in the Spider-Man toyline. This is actually the second figure he had and a huge improvement over the Spider-Man Monster Mayhem Jameson figure. This figure is a completely new mold and it is great. One of the best figures in the whole line. The figure also includes a desk which transforms into a Spider-Slayer, robots from the comics.

Spider Sense Peter Parker

This figure was a welcome addition to the toyline since there were so few Peter Parker figures made. This figure is a nice update of the older Peter Parker released back in Series 2, but this time his head looks like it was drawn on many classic comic covers with the half Peter Parker/Half Spider-Man face.
