X-Men Battle Brigade - 1996

This series offered some more remakes, like a much needed Colossus, and a new figure Lady Deathstrike. This series also had a repaint series just like the Light up series did. The theme of this series was snap on weapons and armor, which all the figures had. All in all, this series was another good one.

Archangel

This Archangel is basically Archangel II with a new head. He's back in his original Angel costume. The prototype picture actually shows this figure with the same head that the second Archangel figure had while instead he got a new head with more of the look he was sporting in the comics at the time.

Figure ability: Wing flapping action
Accessories: None

Another version of his original Angel costume with the blue being swaped out for red.

Colossus

A new giant Colossus was much bigger than the old series 1. His arms are positioned oddly and lack articulation. If this Colossus's arms could be put into other positions by making the shoulder a ball joint and adding some elbow articulation, this would be an even better figure. The armor pieces he comes with can either snap on his shoulders or his forearms to act as gauntlets. The arms appear positioned differently in the prototype pictures but this was unfortunately changed for unknown reasons.

Figure ability: Super punch gauntlets
Accessories: Shoulder pad, Shoulder cannon, Shoulder pad

Colossus Repaint

This Colossus had his colors changed to put him in his Acolyte costume, which he did wear in the comics briefly.

Lady Deathstrike

Lady Deathstrike was definitely the peg warmer of this series of figures. While it was nice to have a new character get a figure, the figure itself wasn't all that great. That combined with the fact she isn't a really popular character left a lot of these on the pegs. The hands of the figure are actually a soft plastic and her belt is removable. The feet are posed oddly so it is difficult to get her to stand and she's got an odd expression on her face as well.

Figure ability: Bio-morphing armor
Accessories: Claw, Belt, Shoulder computer, Gun

Patch Wolverine

This Wolverine is a version of how he looked in several issues of Wolverine in his Madripoor adventures. The figure itself is pretty good, and it is very close to the Age of Apocalypse figure's body but with two hands. He also comes with a large shoulder pads that have large knives that attach to his arms.

Figure ability: Total arsenal assault
Accessories: Shoulder Pads, Arm Claws x2

Post-Apocalypse Beast

This is a post-apocalypse Beast that didn't look like the Age of Apocalypse Beast. I think it was supposed to resemble the Beast from the X-Men cartoon that had a few episodes on an Age of Apocalypse-like time. The figure itself is very big for the 5-inch scale, and features good articulation.

Figure ability: Sci tech blaster
Accessories: Shoulder Pad, Claw, Missles x2, Missles Launcher, Cable, Large gun

Post-Apocalypse Beast Repaint

This variant put Beast in a modified version of his original costume, the standard blue and yellow X-Men outfit. Also, the blue fur is slightly lighter than the normal version.
