Video Game Series X-Men vs. Street Fighter Series 2 - 1999

The second lineup offered a whole bunch of new characters, especially new Street Fighter characters. Not all the figures this time were repaints, as many featured new parts or even a whole new figure. Like before, all the figures came in two packs.

Apocalypse

Apocalypse is another one of the X-Men figures that was retooled from a much older figure. This figure is actually a modified Apocalypse figure from series 3 of the X-Men line, but with a new head. The new colors are darker than the original and actually look pretty good. He comes with new arm attachments as well. He comes packaged with a Dhalsim figure.

Figure ability: Interchangeable arms
Accessories: Hoses x2

Cammy

Cammy is another one of those smaller female figures. Her figure like most is pretty well done in terms of detail and articulation. She is actually one of the better-looking Street Fighter figures in this line. She comes with a Gambit figure.

Figure ability: None
Accessories: None

Chun Li

Chun Li comes packaged with the Juggernaut. I'm not sure this is an even match up since Juggernaut was supposed to be invincible and Chun Li probably could not hurt him at all but whatever. Chun Li's figure is pretty well done but the legs seem too close together which makes her tough to stand up. The figure is very well detailed and painted though and also has a good deal of articulation.

Dhalsim

Dhalsim is one of the scarier looking figures that Toybiz made. That is mostly due to the fact that he comes with a necklace with skulls on it, which actually is really cool looking. The figure itself is also well done, and he comes with cloth pants. I think this might be the same body that Ryu and the others used, which new pants and a different head. He comes packaged with an Apocalypse figure.

Figure ability: None
Accessories: Skull necklace

Dhalsim

Dhalsim seems to get the short end of the stick when it comes to whom he gets packaged with, since the two figures in the pack are supposed to fight each other. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't be able to hurt Apocalypse and now he's fighting the Juggernaut. This Dhalsim is just like the first one, but in his darker blue 2nd player colors.

Gambit

This Gambit is another retooled mold with a new head. This time the figure is from the X-Men light up series. The body is basically the same, but with the light up feature removed and a mechanism to able him to throw a card was put in. The head is a new head, which I like better than the old one. The coat is also new, and it is actually a left over part of the Maggot figure that was planned in the X-Men Flying Fighters line but never actually got produced. He comes packaged with a Cammy figure.

Figure ability: Card throwing action
Accessories: Staff, Card

Gambit

This Gambit is a straight repaint of his other X-Men vs. Street Fighter figures in his 2nd player colors. This time around he has a blue coat, silver boots and more of a grayish armor. The figure looks good like the other one does, even with the odd colors. This time he comes with a Zangief figure.

Figure ability: Card throwing action
Accessories: Staff, Card

Juggernaut

This is the Juggernaut figure I had been waiting for. The body and arms are from the Light up Juggernaut, but this one comes with a new head and new legs that are bigger and look a little more proportional to his large arms. The helmet is non-removable this time, but looks better in my opinion. Now only if I could get a 6 inch version of this figure. He comes packaged with a Chun Li figure.

Figure ability: uppercut action
Accessories: None

Juggernaut

This is the same as the other Juggernaut that came packaged with Chun Li in series 2, but painted a bit darker. These colors were his 2nd player colors in the video game. This time he comes with a Dhalsim figure.

Figure ability: Uppercut punch
Accessories: None

Rogue

Rouge is one of the unique figures in this line, as she is the only X-Man to receive a new figure instead of just a repaint. Her figure is pretty well done, but it is a bit tall and a little cartoony looking. Still she has a good paint job, with a good amount of articulation. She adds to the figure collection nicely, as Rouge never did have as many figures as a lot of the other X-Men had.

Figure ability: None
Accessories: None

Zangeif

This figure is pretty much the same as the other Zangief figure from the second series, but this time hes painted green like his 2ns player colors. This time around he comes packaged with a Gambit figure.

Figure ability: None
Accessories: None

Zangief

Zangief is one of the bigger figures in the line, as he is about as big as the Juggernaut is. His figure is very well done, as it is pretty detailed and has a good amount of articulation. He even comes with a cloth cape, which is a nice addition to the figure. He comes packaged with Rouge.

Figure ability: None
Accessories: None
