Miscellaneous Series Alpha Flight - 1998

An offshoot of the X-Men line. Alpha flight was another mini series of figures that was aimed at collectors. The figures for the most part featured all new sculpts and came in two-packs along with a trading card. The line did pretty well as you got two figures for the price of one.

Aurora

Aurora was packed with her brother, Northstar. Like him, she has a rather flimsy look to her, but that doesn't mean her figure is bad. Like Northstar, her figure has a good deal of articulation and a lot of detail. She is a bit tough to get to stand though.

Guardian

Guardian is a very small figure, but a very good one too. She comes packaged with Sasquatch as well. Her figure has a decent amount of articulation, but her legs seem awfully close together and I have a tough time posing her because of that. Her head is actually the same head from the Marvel Girl figure in the X-Men original team 5-figure pack with added glasses. She does have a real hair ponytail because of that.

Northstar

Northstar was logically packaged with his twin sister, Aurora. His figure is decently well done, but it seems rather flimsy compared to other figures. I don't know if they used a different type of plastic when the made him or what. Regardless, the figure does possess a good deal of articulation and looks pretty good. The could have made his hair not as dark black as they did, as he did have some white shine to it in the comics.

Puck

Puck is quite a small figure. Due to his short size, he is not very articulated at all. He bends at the waist a little bit, but that's all. The figure itself though is pretty detailed and nicely sculpted. He is a good addition to this lineup of characters.

Sasquatch

Sasquatch is the biggest figure in the Alpha Flight series. His is very detailed with all the fur and is very well articulated. This is probably the best figure in the whole lineup. He comes packaged with Guardian, which I though was odd, since hes so big, he should have come with Puck.

Snowbird

Snowbird is one of the better figures in the line. She comes packaged with Puck, as well as a wolf and an owl, which she would morph into in the comics. She comes with a nice cloth cape and a good deal of articulation and detail on the figure. Her eyes are black with white pupils though, which makes her look a little creepy.

Figure ability: None
Accessories: Owl, Badger
