Apocalypse

Apocalypse is the one villain who would get quite a bit of figures throughout the line. Most of the figures were pretty good although a few of them were kind of strange looking. Still, several of them were very good and they were always different from each other. It's too bad that he never looked like several of the figures in the comics.

Apocalypse

X-Men Series 1 - 1991

This Apocalypse was molded after his skinnier look he currently had when he appeared from time-to-time in the X-Factor comics as the main antagonist. His legs and torso will pull apart somewhat to make him grow taller. A new Apocalypse would later be released to show the new bulkier look he now had in the comics after becoming 'Apocalypse Prime'.

Figure ability: Extending legs and torso
Accessories: Staff, Missle

Apocalypse

X-Men Series 3 - 1993

Marvel Universe '96 Series 9 - 1996

A new Apocalypse figure was welcomed as it replaced a scrawnier figure from the first series. The only problem this figure had was the hoses that went into his arms and back would not stay in very well. The figure itself looks great with or without them though. This figure would also not be improved upon much and will be reissued a few times later. He also features interchangable arms that can be pulled out and replaced with weapon arms.

Figure ability: Interchangeable arms
Accessories: Hoses x2, Claw arm, Pile driver arm, Normal arms

Apocalypse

X-Men Steel Mutants Series 1 - 1994

This Apocalypse was a smaller version of his X-Men series 3 figure, only without the hoses that attach to his back and arms. He comes packaged with Archangel.

Figure ability: None
Accessories: None

X-Men Age of Apocalypse - 1996

X-Men Kay-Bee Series 4 - 1998

You couldn't have an Age of Apocalypse without Apocalypse. The figure is very well done and even comes with the Shadow King. The figure could have been a bit bigger but it still looks great. The large hands make the head look a little small though and sometimes doesn't stay attached all that well. The removable cape is a nice touch as well although he does look strange without it.

Figure ability: Interchangeable hands
Accessories: Shadow King, Saw hand, Hands x2, Cape

Apocalypse

X-Men Missile Flyers - 1997

This is a very futuristic version of Apocalypse that is modeled after the way he appeared in the future timeline from the comics where he raised Cable's son Genesis. His bizarre appearance is explained as it being a sort of mech the ancient Apocalypse lives in. His fold out wings were actually part of the figure unlike the rest of the figures, who features snap on wings. The figure is also very detailed and very large but is not very articulated.

Figure ability: Fold out wings that fire missles
Accessories: Missiles

Apocalypse

X-Men Onslaught - 1997

This is one of the cooler Apocalypse figures, as it is very detailed, and very big. He comes with one of his servants, Ozymandias. He comes wrapped in bandages like he was when he was resurrected during the Onslaught event. The figure's arms are very articulated with ball joints.

Figure ability: Ozymandias
Accessories: Ozymandias figure

X-Men Super Shooters - 1998

This is another Apocalypse figure. This one incorporates the firing surprise gun into the figure and is quite a bulky figure.

Figure ability: Surprise attack gun
Accessories: Missiles x3

Video Game Series X-Men vs. Street Fighter Series 2 - 1999

X-Men Classics (repaints) series 1 - 2000

Apocalypse is another one of the X-Men figures that was retooled from a much older figure. This figure is actually a modified Apocalypse figure from series 3 of the X-Men line, but with a new head. The new colors are darker than the original and actually look pretty good. He comes with new arm attachments as well. He comes packaged with a Dhalsim figure.

Figure ability: Interchangeable arms
Accessories: Hoses x2

Apocalypse

Marvel Legends Series 7 - 2004

X-Men fans were long awaiting a new Apocalypse figure. This figure is pretty big, though he looks a little wide. Personally, I'd like if he were a bit taller. Still the sculpt and detail are very well done and even the hoses in the back that attach from his arm to his back are done in the soft plastic so that they don't hinder movement.

Figure ability: None
Accessories: Temple base
