Archangel

Angel became Archangel so I thought I would put both of their figures on the same page. Archangel had several figures and none of them were too bad. The body that was used on the second figure was so good that it would be used on many other figures. Angel only had 2 figures that were ok.

Archangel

X-Men Series 1 - 1991

Angel's first figure would be designed in his then-current Archangel persona and it's one of the better-looking figures in the first X-Men series. The figure is modeled after the costume Apocalypse gave him when he became his Horseman in X-Factor #23. The figure itself is very well articulated like most of the figures in the line. His wings will flip by pushing the switch on his back. He also has small missiles that fit into the ends of his wings that can be shot out.

Figure ability: Missiles fire from tips of the wings, wings flap
Accessories: Missle x2

Archangel II

X-Men Invasion - 1995

This is a great remake of Archangel. The body is done so well that it will be used many many times in lots of figures. The body itself if actually a modified figure from the Hercules line that Toybiz was working on at the time. This figure was one of the harder ones to find since it was replaced with the Erik the Red figure after awhile. The wings flap when the legs are squeezed together.

Figure ability: Wing flapping action
Accessories: None

Archangel

X-Men Battle Brigade - 1996

This Archangel is basically Archangel II with a new head. He's back in his original Angel costume. The prototype picture actually shows this figure with the same head that the second Archangel figure had while instead he got a new head with more of the look he was sporting in the comics at the time.

Figure ability: Wing flapping action
Accessories: None

Angel

X-Men Savage Land - 1997

This is the first figure of Archangel when he was just Angel. The figure is pretty good as it uses the Archangel 3 head. Since it is Angel the figure has feather wings instead of the metal ones that Archangel has. Angel came with Sauron, who is an actual X-Men villain. This figure would have been better if his costume was not all ripped up since there were very few Angel figures. The prototype had the same head as the Quicksilver figure, but instead came with the same head that Archangel III had.

Figure ability: None
Accessories: Sauron figure, Bone claw, Vest, Wings x2

Angel

X-Men Original Members Boxed Set - 1998

This is one of the only Angel figures that were made. The wings are articulated as well and very large. The figure is very well done like all the others in the set and also has good articulation. He also had a movable head, so if you pose him to be flying he can still look straight ahead, which I thought was a nice touch. Like Iceman, he is a bit taller than most other figures.

Figure ability: None
Accessories: None

Fallen

Miscellaneous Series Mutant X - 1998

The Fallen is actually Archangel who was changed a bit more than he normally was by Apocalypse. He does somewhat look like Archangel though. The figure itself is a Spider-Man body with a new head and plastic and cloth wings. The figure is very detailed and decently articulated due to the Spider-Man body.

Figure ability: None
Accessories: Stand, Wings x2

Archangel

X-Men Classics - 2004

Archangel would be the toughest figure to find in this set, as he was packed one per case. In the Hulk/X-Men split cases, he did not get included. This figure uses the smaller body type that is used on several figures in the Marvel Legends line, and he has very large wings attached to his back. This is the classic Archangel costume, as the one that was given to him by Apocalypse way back around X-Factor #30.

Figure ability: Articulation, Missile Firing Action
Accessories: Missles x2, Wings
