Cyclops

Another of the X-Men series' main character, there would be quite a few Cyclops figures in the line. Several of the figures would be pretty good, but there would be a few that were not very good at all. Cyclops would get probably the second most figures in the X-Men line, second only to Wolverine.

Cyclops

X-Men Series 1 - 1991

Cyclops's first figure would be of him in his current X-Factor outfit. The figure is a bit small by later standards. The light up visor is a good ability for Cyclops as it does relate to his powers. The light up visor power would be used again in the future for a handful of other Cyclops figures. The figure's leg sculpt seems to have a bit of a balance problem. Cyclops would be one of the only original members to get a figure modeled in his X-Factor outfit, as no figures of Angel, Beast, or Iceman in their X-Factor costumes would be produced in later series.

Figure ability: Light up visor
Accessories: Portable Cerebro Unit

X-Men Talking Series - 1991

Cyclops is also slightly retooled from his series 1 release. His backpack will say 'Optic Blast Fire!', 'Let's Go X-Men!', and 'ZAPT!' He did not come with his 'portable Cerebro unit' but a gun instead that was not included in the original figure.

Figure ability: None
Accessories: Talking Backpack, Gun

X-Men Series 4 - 1993

X-Men Classics - 1995

Marvel Universe '96 Series 8 - 1997

This figure is a new Cyclops in his current costume. This figure is more to scale with the newer figures as the old one is very small in comparison. This figure features the same light up visor as the first series one. This figure would not be improved upon for a long time as it will be reissued several times.

Figure ability: Light up visor
Accessories: Backpack, Gun

X-Men Repaints - 1993

This Cyclops is a repaint of the X-Men series 1 Cyclops but this time painted in his traditional X-Men costume he wore for quite some time in the comics. In terms of articulation and scale he's the exact same as the original X-Men series 1 Cyclops figure. Paint wise it is a good figure, although you can see the outlines of his original paint job, but that is just a feature of the mold. A good figure for early Marvel figures.

Figure ability: Light up visor for
Accessories: Portable Cerebro Unit

X-Men Steel Mutants Series 2 - 1994

This Cyclops is a smaller version of his X-Men series 4 figure. For some reason, he has an odd pose. He comes with Mr. Sinister.

Cyclops

X-Men Age of Apocalypse - 1996

The Cyclops figure is a very good figure as are all the figures in this set. The only drawback to it is the position in the legs which makes it difficult to pose in very many positions other than the one that is the standard. Still, the figure has a lot of articulation and a great sculpt. The head does have trouble moving due to the longer hair though. This is one of the better figures in this lineup.

Figure ability: Laser blaster
Accessories: Gun, Plasma bolt, Cable, Brain in a jar

Cyclops

X-Men Robot Fighters - 1997

The Cyclops figure is ok, also has an angry face. The figure also could use some more articulation. Like Wolverine, his costume is a modified version of the one he wore in the comics only with extra armor he never wore in the comics. .

Figure ability: Robot Apocalypse opponent
Accessories: Apocalypse robot, Missiles x4

X-Men Monster Armor - 1997

This figure is pretty good, though the face is very odd like he's yelling in pain. The sculpt of the figure is very well done, with the figure being thin just like he was supposed to be in the comics. The pose of the figure is also very nicely done. In terms of articulation, the shoulders have ball joints, which was becoming more common. Another great figure in this line.

Figure ability: Snap on monster parts
Accessories: Monster feet x2, Monster hands x2, Monster head

Cyclops

X-Men Space Riders - 1997

This Cyclops figure is a heavily modified version of his normal costume. The head is actually from his older costumes that covered his hair. The figure itself is very detailed, although it looks like he is wearing way too much stuff. He comes with a mask that attaches to his face that is connected to a hose that connects to his arm. The figure is decently articulated, featuring knee, leg, and arm articulation points.

Figure ability: Space ship piece
Accessories: Spaceship, Discs x2
