Toad

X-Men Evolution Series 1 - 2001

Surprisingly, this was one of the first figures Toad ever got. The figure is very well done and looks exactly like his animated counterpart. He has some sort of jumping action, which really didnt work too well.

Toad

Marvel Legends Series 1 - 2002

A lot of people wonder why Toad made it into the first series. Well, there is a reason for it. This Toad figure is actually a leftover from an older two pack from the X-Men movie line that featured a movie version and a comic version of the character. A Wolverine two pack was released and a Toad one was scheduled to, but never did. They did not change much on the mold, so there is not as much articulation as most of the other figures in the line. The reason he was included without much retooling is that Dr. Doom was orginally to be included, but wasn't ready. So, a quick substitute was needed. Toad would become a chase figure later on, as this line would get re-released later, but only Iron Man, Captain America, and Hulk would get released.
