Beast

Beast had a handful of figures through the line, and most of them were pretty good. Almost all of them would get repainted or re-released. The nice thing about almost all the Beast figures is that they were bigger than most other figures, which is true to the comics.

Beast

X-Men Series 5 - 1994

X-Men Classics - 1995

Marvel Universe '96 Series 1 - 1996

Beast's first figure was an excellent representation of how he looked in the comics. This figure would be reissued several times. The flipping power in the figure didn't work very well though and neither did his suction cup accessory. However, this figure was one of the best selling figures in this series. The fact his flipping power didn't work well was overshadowed by the fact that the figure has a great sculpt and good articulation. He could have been a bit better if he was a bit darker blue but that's a small complaint.

Figure ability: Flipping mutant power
Accessories: Chain

X-Men Steel Mutants Series 3 - 1994

Beast is a small version of his X-Men series 5 figure. He comes with Morph.

Post-Apocalypse Beast

X-Men Battle Brigade - 1996

This is a post-apocalypse Beast that didn't look like the Age of Apocalypse Beast. I think it was supposed to resemble the Beast from the X-Men cartoon that had a few episodes on an Age of Apocalypse-like time. The figure itself is very big for the 5-inch scale, and features good articulation.

Figure ability: Sci tech blaster
Accessories: Shoulder Pad, Claw, Missles x2, Missles Launcher, Cable, Large gun

Post-Apocalypse Beast Repaint

X-Men Battle Brigade - 1996

This variant put Beast in a modified version of his original costume, the standard blue and yellow X-Men outfit. Also, the blue fur is slightly lighter than the normal version.

Figure ability: Sci tech blaster
Accessories: Shoulder Pad, Claw, Missles x2, Missles Launcher, Cable, Cable

Heavy Metal Beast

X-Men Mutant Armor - 1996

A repaint from the Iron Man series 5 Dark Aegis figure with a series 5 Beast head. I don't remember Beast ever wearing any armor like this.

Figure ability: Snap on armor
Accessories: Arm armor x2, Leg armor x2, Shoulder pad armor x4, Missles x2, Launcher

Dark Beast

X-Men Mutant Monsters - 1996

This Beast figure is modeled after how he appeared as 'Dark Beast' in the Age of Apocalypse storyline. The figure is more to the 6 inch scale but still fits in well with the other Age of Apocalypse figures.

Figure ability: Howl and scratch action
Accessories: None

Beast

X-Men Space Riders - 1997

This version of Beast is one of the stranger figures of the character. The figure comes with an oxygen mask like the others. He is not wearing a complete space suit like the other figures are. His legs and arms and chest are still exposed which makes him look odd sort of odd. Like Cyclops, Beast's head is taken from the way his hair was drawn in the older comics where it was shorter and neater.

Figure ability: Space ship piece
Accessories: Spaceship, Missile, Mask

X-Men Battle Blasters 2 - 1997

Just a repaint of the original Beast with a muscle shirt painted on. Not much new.

Figure ability: Rock platform breaks apart

X-Men Super Shooters - 1998

X-Men Classics (repaints) series 2 - 2000

This Beast is a great figure. The figure comes with a shoulder pad and belt, but they can be taken off. The figure itself is a big figure, which is about the right scale compared to other figures. The figure is very detailed with all the fur and also uses ball joints in the legs and shoulders to give it a very good degree of articulation.

Figure ability: Chest opens up and fires projectiles
Accessories: Surprise attack gun, Projectiles, Shoulder pads

X-Men Original Members Boxed Set - 1998

This is the still only furless Beast that you can get to date. The body is very similar to the Super Shooter Beast. The figure is bigger than the others, which is true to the comics and features the same ball joint articulation that the Super Shooters Beast has.

Figure ability: None
Accessories: None
