Thor

Marvel Super Heroes Series 2 - 1990

Thor would not see a new figure for quite awhile. Still, it's a decent figure. He looks like he is missing something, most notably is his cape. The figure would have a slight variant, in that the switch in the back was longer on some releases.

Figure ability: Smnashing hammer action
Accessories: Lightning bolt, Mjolnir hammer

Avengers Reborn - 1996

Thor received a much needed update in this line. Since he is to a larger scale he is taller than most other figures at the time but does not look too out of place. The design itself is more animated than usual.

Figure ability: None
Accessories: Mjolnir hammer, Cloud base, Lightning bolt x3

Avengers Original Boxed set - 1996

Another great Thor figure, this would probably be the best Thor released in the 5 inch scale. This figure is similar to the Avengers Reborn figure only smaller and less animated-looking. The face sculpt does look a bit childlike though. The figure features great articulation and even better detail. The helmet and silver discs on his chest are chromed, and his cape is cloth. Another nice touch is his hammer that has words inscribed on it. This Thor is to the scale of normal figures in the Marvel lines at that time.

Figure ability: None
Accessories: Mjolnir hammer

Thor

Marvel Legends Series 3 - 2003

Thor was one of the tougher figures to find in this series. He is also much larger than most of the other figures in the line, and just as articulated and detailed as any other figure. He comes with his Hammer which he can hold, but is doesn't stay put sometimes since his fingers are movable. Since his cape is molded from plastic and not articulated, it limits his poseability somewhat. Some people don't like the expression on his face very much, as it kind of looks like he's ready to cry. Still Thor is a great addition to the line.

Figure ability: Articulation
Accessories: Mjolnir hammer, Giant skull base
