Dr. Doom

Dr. Doom was another main villain who didn't get a lot of figures. The ones he did get were ok, but he needed a really good one. I'm not sure why he was neglected like he was.

Dr. Doom comes with a feature that several figures after him would use. You can wind up his hand then release with the button on his shoulder to have his hand spin around. By putting a weapon in his hand, the weapon will spin. The detail on the face of this figure is pretty good. He also comes with a cloth cape, which no other Doom figure would have.

Figure ability: Power driven weapons
Accessories: Cape, Spinning blade, Drill

Fantastic Four Series 1 - 1994

This is the only decent figure of Dr. Doom that had been made, and he still could have been improved on. This figure has an odd ability to shoot his hand out a little bit. He also has a removable cape very similar to the cape the Gladiator figure had from the X-Men Phoenix Saga had. The figure seems to need to hunch over a bit to get to stand properly. The face on the figure is very well done though.

Figure ability: Extending hand
Accessories: Gun, Cape

Marvel Legends Series 2 - 2002

Dr. Doom isn't as articulated as some other Marvel Legends, but he makes up for that with a great sculpt. Doom hasn't ever really had a great figure until now. The mask is removable, which is a very nice touch revealing his slightly scarred face underneath. I'm not sure if that's all the scarring he ever had or not, as I was under the impression he was horribly scarred. The cloak is also removable as well as the gun in his belt. Doom's legs are articulated in the hips, but due to his longer shirt they really can’t be moved very much which is the figure’s only limiting factor. The figure also comes with a small tower that Doom can stand on. Doom originally was slated to come with a larger grey base (seen in gallery) but the base was switched to the smaller tower.

Figure ability: Articulation
Accessories: Castle base, Mask, Cape, Gun
